In a statistically dangerous industry, Austin Wood Recycling has woven safety into the fabric of its operations. The most significant part of our safety approach takes place in educating (training) people and correcting outdated processes.
Our New Hire Training process includes an extensive introduction to the hazards that may be present in the construction, manufacturing, and transportation industries, while also mirroring the first hours of an approved OSHA 10-hour training course.
Following New Hire Safety Training and job-specific training to be competent in one’s actual role, our supervisors and EHS Specialists conduct field observations to provide coaching and corrective actions when team members may be operating “off process”.
Our commitment to safety doesn’t end after 90 days, we continue to train and retrain our team members in safety, quality, and efficiency; striving for an incident and injury free workplace in all we do.
